Long Distance Was Never the Problem
Yuki is a UX designer in Seoul. Marco is a chef in Milan. Eleven time zones. Different languages. Different relationships with pasta.
"He sent me a voice note of him cooking," Yuki says. "Just ambient kitchen sounds and him explaining what he was making. I played it four times. Something about it felt like being home."
Marco had never dated internationally. His friend created his profile as a joke. He logged in once and found Yuki — who described, in precise detail, exactly what she was not looking for and exactly what she was.
"She was so clear," Marco says. "I had never seen someone be that honest about what they wanted."
They video-called for four months before meeting. Marco flew to Seoul first. Yuki flew to Milan three months later. They are navigating what comes next — with the calm of two people who have already done the hardest part.
